ABOUT MY ART

As an abstract artist, my work is an exploration of the interplay between color, geometry, and meditation.
Drawing inspiration from contemporary art and the principles of abstraction, I strive to create paintings
that are a visual representation of my inner world and an invitation for viewers to engage in their own
contemplative experiences.

My work is characterized by bold and dynamic compositions that evoke a sense of energy and movement, and I
use a vibrant palette of colors to create a visual language that transcends the representational. I am
inspired by the idea that the universe is a vast, interconnected web of energy, and that we are all a part
of this cosmic dance. I use geometric shapes and vibrant colors to express this idea, creating art that is
both visually striking and spiritually meaningful.

One particular area of focus for me is the use of geometry in my work. Geometry and symbols have a long
history in spiritual traditions, and I believe they have the ability to convey deep meaning and intention
in a visual form. It is my  hope to infuse each piece with a sense of purpose and wonder. I draw from a
range of spiritual traditions and seek to incorporate their principles and aesthetics into my paintings.

By creating works that are infused with spiritual energy, I hope to inspire viewers to explore their own
spiritual paths and find solace and inspiration in the world of abstraction.

In my ongoing exploration of abstract art, I am constantly experimenting with new techniques and materials,
seeking to push the boundaries of what is possible with paint and canvas. My goal is to create paintings
that are not only visually stunning but also spiritually uplifting, inviting viewers to connect with their
own inner worlds and find peace and inspiration in the beauty of abstraction.

ABOUT DIGITALLY ALTERED ORIGINALS (INTERMEDIAL ART)

Intermedial art is art that combines working in two different media into a new hybrid
form. My intermedial art works are a combination of traditional acrylic paint on canvas
or panels and the digital manipulation of those images. I start with a painting that I
have done and photographed. I then digitally change the image. I might stretch or skew
it. I might take only a small section of an original and enlarge it. I might change
colors. For me it is like floating down a river of creativity in an inner tube waiting
to see what is around the next bend. From an original work springs an entirely new work. These works are a trip down a road not taken when I created the original. When a
painting is finished the creativity does not have to end. I can open up a tool bag of
digital tools. Those tools open up a doorway to creativity that is too tempting for
me to resist. The final product is a digital image that is only available as prints.
